Job description
Together
with the other members of the Department of International and European
Union Law you will conduct lectures and seminars in European Union law
both in Dutch and English. You will be expected to make a positive
contribution to the continued development of the department’s and
faculty’s teaching and learning environment, which both at the bachelor
and master level is based on active learning, as well as to the
research endeavors of the department and one or more of the faculty’s
research programs. Moreover, you will contribute to activities that
secure external funding through research grants as well as commercial
contracts. You participate in management tasks within the department,
the capacity group and the faculty.
Requirements
You are a
lawyer with doctoral degree or are expecting to receive your doctorate
within the next half year. You have extensive knowledge of European
Union Law. You are an active researcher with a publication record
commensurate with current stage of your career. Besides this you are an
enthusiastic and stimulating lecturer with excellent didactical skills
and preferably substantial experience of teaching Law in higher
education. Moreover, you have good communication, interpersonal and
organizational skills.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, both in oral and written form, are a must, in order to contribute to department’s teaching commitments at the bachelor and master level.
You have demonstrable interest in multidisciplinary research. You possess scientific qualities that are reflected in scientific publications.

Conditions of employment
Your
initial contract will be for a period of two years with a possible
extension to permanent employment depending on your performance during
the initial two years. Salary is scaled according to the CAO of Dutch
Universities. Depending on your qualifications and experience, we offer a
gross salary per month between € 3259 and a maximum of € 5070 with
fulltime employment. An assessment is part of the selection procedure.
