Daarna gaat Wytzia Raspe in op het verschil in interpretatie van de Zambrano lijn door Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk en hoe die is aangevoerd in het Hoger Beroep. Vervolgens kunnen de deelnemers hun eigen ervaringen en vragen delen. Inburgeringsonderwijs moet veel serieuzer worden genomen. Net als bij andere publieke diensten zoals basisonderwijs en gezondheidszorg moet de kwaliteit ervan worden geborgd. This month marks the tenth anniversary of the ground-breaking Ruiz Zambrano judgment (C-34/09) of the Court of Justice. Peter Van Elsuwege and I edited a special issue on the evolutions of the article 20 TFEU doctrine in 10 years time. The special issue answers some of the questions that were raised ten years ago, and further discusses some of the questions that haven't been answered yet. A presidential decision declared that Turkey was leaving the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence. This is the convention better known, most ironically, as the Istanbul Convention due to Turkey’s leading role in its creation. Not only was it unreasonable, and not only does it appear to offend the constitutional guarantee of equality, such a conclusion seems also to give cause for offence to fathers like Mr Babatunde who, with his partner, appears, from the evidence, to have been involved actively in the raising of the third and fourth applicants since they were each born (a point accepted in the Examination of File, p.8).
