Your duties will be:
Tasks:
As an International Programmes Officer you will be covering for a temporary vacancy and you will be dealing with Master applications from International students.Your duties will be:
- To process Master applications, including file management, admission and registration issues, and immigration procedures
- To inform students about admission, registration, financial issues, housing, visa requirements etc.
- To inform university staff about procedures and regulations, and to work closely together with departments on complicated issues
- To assist in the organisation of the arrival of new students in Leiden at the beginning of the semester.
Requirements
- Experience with or knowledge of Admissions in higher education
- Strong in administrative processes and good computer skills (MS-Office).
- Strong customer care skills
- Fluency in English and Dutch
- HBO or equivalent level
- Team-player, but also able to work independently
Analytical ability, communication skills, client focus, accuracy, scenario view and result orientation.

Conditions of employment
The appointment is according to the terms of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten) for the duration 6 months.
The position is vacant as per 1 May 2012 at the latest. The salary depending on education and work experience is between the gross minimum and maximum of € 2267,00 and € 3028,00 per month, based on scale 8 and based on 38 hours per week. Leiden University also offers an annual holiday premium of 8% and an end of the year premium of 8,3%.
