Dit heeft niet echt iets met vreemdelingenrecht te maken maar biedt wel de kans om het land te leren kennen waar veel Nederlandse allochtonen vandaan komen. Wellicht komt je eigen familie er wel vandaan en vind je het leuk om juist daar je stage te lopen.
The Economic Division of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has an opening for a:
Stagiaire in economic affairs
Starting date: as soon as possible (closing date 18 September 2009)
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
1) Answering trade questions
2) Reading and organising newspaper’s information and tenders
3) Collecting information about opportunities and threats in economic sectors and themes
4) Finding possible business partners/addresses
5) Using economic instruments (f.e. PSI, MMF, ORIO, PESP, PPP, G2G, CPA, PUM etc.)
Other tasks and contributions:
a. Collecting information on economic sectors in Morocco
b. Preparing the incoming and outcoming missions
c. Assisting in office tasks
d. Restructuring/update website (text review, bilingual)
DESCRIPTION OF TARGETS
- Ensure accuracy in all the work, especially in answering trade questions
- Ensure that all the important tenders are organised and sent to the right contact persons
- Keep the head and deputy of the department well informed about any business opportunity
- Contribute in the promotion of the programs of cooperation (Economic Diplomacy)
- Contribute in all territories to a flexible and efficient operating of the Economic Division
WORK(ing) ENVIRONMENT
The trainee in economic affairs will work in the Economic Division with the head of the division and his deputy. Work done by the trainee has to be checked by the head of the division. A close working relationship between all is required, also a daily contact will be necessary.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB
1. The employee should have a general economic background and a first training experience would be a plus
2. Computer literacy is necessary, as well as knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word etc.
3. Fluency in written and spoken Dutch and English are necessary
4. Fluency in written and spoken French is a must
5. The candidate should be:
a. a team player
b. able to work independently with limited supervision
c. well organised
d. spontaneously reactive
e. able to work in a multi-project environment
f. good in understanding businessmen needs
