Position: Fundraising & Grant Writing Intern

The Fahamu Refugee Programme (www.refugeelegalaidinformation.org) is seeking an intern to assist with the development of funding proposals. FRP works to achieve better protection of refugee rights worldwide by networking legal assistance providers with resources and training, and facilitating access to free legal assistance and information for refugees around the world. Founded in 2009, FRP has a small but growing staff, and its monthly newsletter is read by legal advocates, academics, policy makers and refugees in nearly every country in the world. It is currently reliant on a grant from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation, and we are eager to identify and pursue additional funding sources in order to better assist refugees and legal aid providers worldwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research for funding opportunities
- Work in collaboration with program staff and interns to develop grant proposals and necessary supportive material
- Assist in authoring grant reports and follow-up correspondence with current funder
Previous experience identifying and seeking funding for non-profit organizations and strong organizational, writing and computer skills. Should be comfortable working independently. Knowledge of and experience with refugees, refugee law, or humanitarian programming strongly preferred.

In verband met geldwolven die denken geld te kunnen claimen op krantenartikelen die op een blog als deze worden geplaatst maar na meestal een dag voor de krantenlezers aan leeswaardigheid hebben ingeboet terwijl wij vreemdelingenrecht specialisten ze soms wel nog jaren gebruiken om er een kopie van te maken voor een zaak ga ik over tot het plaatsen van alleen het eerste stukje. Ja ik weet het: de kans dat u doorklikt is geringer dan wanneer het hele artikel hier staat en een kopie van het orgineel maken handig kan zijn voor uw zaak.
