Een faciliterend visa nodig? De website van de ambassades legt het goed uit maar vervolgens kom ik uit bij een Schengen visa aanvraag en dat is het niet en VFS is dicht tijdens Corona

Dit is wat er op de website staat:

"Visa facilitation

If you want to travel to the Netherlands with a family member who is an EU, EEA or Swiss national, or visit them there, you can apply for visa facilitation. This usually means you can get your visa faster and free of charge.

In principle, if you are visiting the Netherlands as a family member of a Dutch national you cannot apply for visa facilitation.

Due to the coronavirus, until further notice, you cannot apply for a visa at most embassies, consulates-general or external service providers such as VFS Global.

Family member of a national of an EU or EEA member state or Switzerland

If you want to travel to Europe with the Netherlands as your main destination, and you are travelling with or will be joining a family member who is an EU, EEA or Swiss national, you can apply for visa facilitation.

You will need to meet the following three conditions:

  1. You require a visa and are the family member of a national of an EU or EEA member state or Switzerland. Find out if you are eligible by checking the visa advisor .
  2. The family member you are travelling with or visiting is travelling to or lives in a different country to the country whose nationality they possess.
  3. You will be travelling to the country you wish to visit with your family member or to visit your family member.

If you meet these requirements, go to the checklist to see which documents you need to submit with your application.

Parent(s) of Dutch nationals under 18

If you are the parent of a Dutch national aged under 18, and you want to travel to the Netherlands with your child, you can apply for visa facilitation.  On the website of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) you can find out what requirements you must meet. Go to the checklist to see which documents you need to submit with your application.

You can only apply for a visa at an external service provider, VFS Global or TLS (China). If there is no external service provider in the country where you live, you can also apply at the Dutch embassy, or consulate-general, If there is no embassy or consulate-general in the country where you live, you can apply at the nearest one, which may be in a neighbouring country.
If you are unsure where to apply, please contact the 24/7 BZ Contact Centre."

Maar wat nu tijdens Corona en VFS dat vaak dicht is net als de ambassades? Het enige wat ik kan bedenken is contact opnemen met het Ministerie van Buitenlandse zaken via dit nummer  31 247 247 247
