Jan Blommaert is taalkundig antropoloog aan de Universiteit van Tilburg en heeft de Barbara Metzger Price gewonnen met een artikel in Current Anthropology. Het artikel reconstrueert het lot van een asielzoeker uit Rwanda. Blommaert toont aan dat de afwijzing van zijn asielaanvraag een foutief oordeel over taal ten grondslag ligt.
