Tomorrow the exhibition ‘In Two Worlds: Stories about Emigration’ opens at MuseumFlehite Amersfoort, the Netherlands. The exhibition tells the stories of people from Amersfoort who chose to explore the world and live abroad. Visitors will be taken on a journey around the world and through time. From the ‘pioneer’, in search of a better life in Canada or Australia in the fifties, to the ‘new emigrant’, ‘the modern day expat’ and the ‘semigrant’. One of the stories is about Greet Pommer. She moved to Australia in 1953, thinking she would never see her family again.
