We had a great day at the Expat fair (Photo's)
The Werkgroep vreemdelingenrecht went boldly where we had not gone before (for those who remember Star Trek) and rented a booth at the Expat fair and "translated" ourselves in 'immigration law thinktank" Here Joëlle de Poorte , A.G. Kleijweg and myself. Merijn de Jong Julien Luscuere and Lanny Vleesenbeek were there too. We had a lot of fun and met a lot of interesting foreigners with all kind of immigration related questions. Lots of Phd students who were nervous because they were afraid not to be able to finish in time. Many questions about Dutch nationality and how to get that. Talked to sons of diplomats, people who worked at the ICC and Yugoslavia Tribunal, people from Kazachstan and Uzbekistan, au pairs etc. Two people who read my blog came to say hello.
