Staying in The Netherlands as an Ukrainian
As an Ukraininan you are allowed to travel to The Netherlands with a valid passport and to stay there for a year under the Temporary Protection Directive 2001/55/ec. It will allow you to work and live in The Netherlands and also qualify for health care under the Dutch laws. I was told it is not handy to apply for asylum instead of the Temporary Protection (unless when it will end after a year or an extention for another year) because with Temporary Protection you can work and also go to another EU state when you get a job there and asylumcases are not decided at the moment so asylum will just have you waiting in an asylumcenter. And I think that if you can qualify for a "normal" residence permit like Knowledge Migrant of familymember that is a safer option as this temporary protection will end when the war ends.
