Home on the Move: the Impact of Immigration Policy on Participation and the Possibilities for Practice
by Ruth Webber Tuesday 25 June 2019, 11:00 - 13:30 Ruth Webber’s PhD research explored the meaning and importance of ‘home’ to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers living in Glasgow, with a particular focus on the impact of hostile environment policies and legal status. This workshop presents findings from her research and will foster a reflective space, asking: “What are the barriers faced by cultural institutions to supporting the participation of those living under the hostile environment, and what can cultural institutions do to develop their inclusive practices in this field?”.
