Partipants will also seek to discuss what integration means in modern society. The presentation will also demonstrate how groups can build a greater sense of ownership over a project, by using creative methods such as film-making and poster design. Participants will explore the use of community voices in research, dissecting the common relationship between author and subject, and investigate the implications for this. This workshop presents findings from her research and will foster a reflective space, asking: “What are the barriers faced by cultural institutions to supporting the participation of those living under the hostile environment, and what can cultural institutions do to develop their inclusive practices in this field?”.
